AEO Standard Division, the Customs Standard Procedures and Valuation Bureau, the Customs Department, will examine criteria of economic operators who participate in the project. The examination will be in 2 parts as follows:

1. Documentary Audit
AEO Standard Division will verify documents which submitted from operator on date of applying. These documents include certificate of juristic person registration, map showing the place of business, etc.
2. On-site Validation
On-site validation is the verification and evaluation of the applicant operators security system to ensure it meets security requirements of Thai Customs. To pass the validation procedures, it is mandatory for operator to pass all requirements.

However, Applicant who wants to join AEO program can consult with AEO officers on any purpose such as regulation, security management system before applying for AEO

After on-site validation, AEO Standard Division will conclude the results of the security risk evaluation of operator. If operator possesses risk control and security management system which meet all requirements stipulated in the security measures assessment form, the officer will then propose that Thai Customs approve the applicant to be an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO).
